Intermec, a leading manufacturer and supplier of automatic information and data capture technologies has issued the end of build notice for its CK31 Series of handheld computers.
For the last four years, the CK31 Series has provided users with rugged, mobile devices for many environments. Now, with the technological advancements of the CK3 Series of mobile computers, Intermec is issuing its product retirement notice for the CK31.

The CK31 is scheduled for retirement in December 2010, with the End-of-Build deadline occurring in January 2011. During this schedule, any CK31 orders received following the final retirement notice, will be subject to availability.
The
CK3 mobile computer is the recommended replacement. With proven, out-of-the-box
integration with many warehouse management systems, the CK3 provides
a reliable migration path for the CK31.
Available with RFID and Voice application capabilities, the CK3 series comes with Windows Mobile 6.1, 128MB RAM, 512MB ROM, SmartSystems™, alphanumeric or numeric keypad options, 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth. Users also have a choice of the Linear, 2D or Near/Far Imagers.
Under Normal Conditions, Intermec supports a product for a minimum of 3 years, though typically longer, after product retirement. Intermec’s ability to continue support after the initial three year period is dependent upon availability of spare parts and vendor obsolescence issues that are beyond Intermec’s control.
Please Note that individual customer contractual agreements for these products are outside the bounds of this retirement notice and Intermec will endeavour to support these agreements to the best of their abilities.
